Dillon Road Unit 1 <br /> <br />Liptoncalled for any changes to the consent agenda.Machadomoved the <br />consent agenda be approved. Tennessen seconded. Roll Call Vote: Lipton <br />– yes, Hughes – yes, Tennessen – yes, Machado – yes.Consent agenda <br />approved. Carlsonabsent. <br /> <br />Authority Business <br />A. Show Cause Hearing – Blue Parrot, Inc. d/b/a Blue Parrot Café –Hotel <br />& Restaurant Liquor License - 640 Main Street <br />Vice-Chairperson Lipton called the Show Cause Hearing to order. She outlined <br />the order of the hearing. She called for attorneys for the City and the Licensee to <br />introduce themselves and state whether they were ready to proceed. Kristin <br />Brown, Special Prosecutor for the City, stated she wasready to proceed. Paul <br />Weissmann, Manager of the Blue Parrot, stated he was ready to proceed. <br />Vice-Chairperson Lipton called for any preliminary matters. None were heard. <br />Vice-Chairperson Lipton made the Show Cause Order and Notice of Hearing a <br />part of the record and called for opening statements. <br />Ms. Brown stated two City witnesses would be heard. The responding officer <br />and a friend of the person involved in the incident. She noted all three charges <br />concerned service to a visibly intoxicated person. She reminded the Authority <br />members they would serve as judge for this hearing and would decide who was <br />truthful and whether service to a visibly intoxicated person occurred. <br />Paul Weissmann thanked the Authority members for their service to the City and <br />stated he did not feel the establishment had served a visibly intoxicated person. <br />He did admit the bartender should have taken the drink away from the patron <br />after he showed signs of intoxication. He noted the bartender,Stephanie <br />Stinson, was availablefor questioning and the establishment was responsible for <br />making the call to the police.He noted Mr. Vern Sanders, the patron involved, <br />was not known to the establishment and the signs of intoxication were not <br />present when the order was placed at the bar. <br />Ms. Brown called Richard Raymond Torrez to the stand. He introduced himself <br />andwas sworn in. Ms. Brown established Mr. Torrez was a friend ofVern <br /> <br />
