Motion <br />passed. <br />PUBLIC COMMENTS <br />None <br />REGULAR BUSINESS <br />DISCUSSION/DIRECTION - CONTINUED MEMBERSHIP TWO FORKS PROJECT <br />Phare gave the Council a brief <br />overview of what was happening with <br />the Two Forks project. The advan- <br />tage of remaining in the project is <br />possible recovery of a portion of <br />our investment in the project to <br />date. There is no guarantee the <br />project will ever be at a point <br />where demand for shares exists. <br />The disadvantage of remaining in <br />the project is continued adminis- <br />trative and legal expenses. <br />Howard asked if we stay in what <br />will we hope to achieve from this <br />in terms of water yield from the <br />project, given the project goes <br />through? <br />Phare stated full scale project is <br />1.1 million acres of reservoir. <br />Projected yield was 10~ per year. <br />It will only yield 10% of the <br />storage. <br />Carnival asked how long the City of <br />Louisville has been in this <br />project? <br />Fhare stated it has been since Late <br />1983. <br />Carnival asked what the intent was <br />when we got into this project? <br />Phare stated we felt there were <br />advantages to being in this at one <br />time. We felt this was going to be <br />a long term event. <br />Carnival asked if we should stay in <br />the project? <br />
