Any variance should be reviewed. <br /> <br />Davidson asked Council if they felt this should go to a work session or be left up to sta~.. <br /> <br />Council felt this should be left up to staff. <br /> <br />DISCUSSION/DIRECTION - ADOPTION OF THE 1994 UNIFORM BUILDING CODES <br /> <br />Paul Wood, Planning Director, stated that Tom Talboom, Chief Building Official, had reviewed the <br />1994 technical codes and staff wanted to begin the adoption process by bringing this to a work <br />session, as well as to a public meeting with all of the local contractors. <br /> <br />Davidson and Council agreed that that format was fine. <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 49, SEll]ES 1995 -SUBMITTING TO THE REGISTERED VOTERS OF <br />THE CITY OF LOUISVILLE, COLORADO, A BALLOT QUESTION TO BE VOTED <br />UPON AT THE NOVEMBER 7, 1995, CITY ELECTION <br /> <br />Susan Gfiffiths, City Attorney, stated that if the resolution was adopted at this meeting, it would be <br />in time to make the ballot for the November 7 election. <br /> <br />Davidson called for Council comments, questions, or motions. <br /> <br />Sisk moved that Council approve Resolution No. 49, Series 1995, and direct staff to take the <br />necessary action to place the question on the November 7, 1995, City election ballot. Seconded by <br />Mayer. Roll call was taken. Motion passed by a 6 - 0 vote with Levihn being absent. <br /> <br />APPROVAL OF ENGINEERING SERVICES CONTRACT - SOUTH 88TH STREET - <br />CHARLES KIEM & ASSOCIATES <br /> <br />Tom Phare, Public Works Director, stated that in discussion of the contract with the engineers, <br />Charles Kiem & Associates, it was determined that their insurance coverage would be a problem from <br />the City's standard provision. In paragraph 7.1.3 of the agreement the City calls for $150,000/per <br />person in any one occurrence and $600,000 for two or more persons in any one occurance. Their <br />coverage is $100,000 and $300,000. He felt the paragraph should be modified to read $100,000/per <br />person and $300,000 for two or more persons for comprehensive automobile liability. If Council <br />approved, staffs recommendation would be to approve the professional engineering services <br />agreement with Charles Kiem Associates for 88th Street preliminary engineering in the amount not <br />to exceed $12,500. <br /> <br />11 <br /> <br /> <br />
