CONSENT CALENDAR: <br />REGULAR BUSINESS: <br />INTRODUCTION OF NEW <br />EMPLOYEE <br />EMPLOYEE RECOGNITION <br />AWARDS <br />Approval of <br />Approval of <br />Approval of <br />City Clerk <br />Approval of <br />Approval of <br />Minutes <br />Bills <br />Request #6 - Contingency Funds - <br />Special Transit Contract <br />Change Order #1 - Recreation Center <br />Phare introduced Alan Morris, the new Mechanic for <br />the Public Works Department. <br />Stahl stated that two employees were nominated by <br />their peers to receive the third quarter employee <br />recognition award -- Jim Ewan, the City's Chief <br />Building Official since 1979, and Mark Wozny, the <br />Construction Inspector since 1981. They were <br />nominated for their willingness to assist other <br />employees and their dedication to provide excellent <br />service. Each received a certificate of recognition <br />and a $100 check. <br />ORDINANCE #998, SERIES 1989 - ALLEY VACATION - CORRIGAN SUBDIVISION - <br />2ND READING, <br />PUBLIC HEARING Read by title only, Ordinance #998, Series 1989, "An <br />Ordinance vacating a portion of an alley located in <br />Corrigan Addition." Proof of publication and notice <br />of public hearing were established by the City <br />Clerk. <br />Stahl explained that there were certain items <br />related to this alley vacation that were no yet <br />ready for Council approval and asked that the public <br />hearing be continued to November 8, 1989. <br />Mayor Fauson opened the public hearing and asked if <br />anyone was present that wished to speak to this <br />Ordinance. There was no one wishing to speak. <br />Mohr moved and Mayor Fauson seconded to continue <br />the public hearing on Ordinance #998, Series 1989 <br />until November 8, 1989. Motion carried. <br />RESOLUTION #24, SERIES 1989 - <br />PJM ANNEXATION Read by title only, Resolution #24, Series 1989, "A <br />Resolution of the City Council of the City of <br />Louisville finding substantial compliance of an <br />annexation petition filed by P.J.M. Development <br />Corporation and initiating annexation proceedings <br />for certain property and establishing a time for a <br />public hearing to determine if the proposed <br />annexation complies with statutory requirements." <br />2 <br />
