Public Hearing – New Hotel and Restaurant Liquor License – Seafood <br /> & Chophouse, Inc. d/b/a Seafood & Chophouse – 328 McCaslin Blvd. <br /> <br />Machado opened the public hearing on the hotel and restaurant liquor license <br />application. Secretary Hanson stated the application was complete and included <br />in the Authority packet. Background checks were conducted and returned <br />showing no criminal history. The hearing had been posted and published in <br />accordance with state law. There was no reason found to require denial of the <br />application. <br />Chairperson Machado called for any member disclosures, hearing none, he <br />called for any objections to the boundaries of the neighborhood being the current <br />city limits of the City of Louisville. Hearing no objections, he moved the entire <br />application be made a part of the record of this hearing. Tennessen seconded. <br />All in favor. <br /> <br />Machado called for an applicant presentation. <br /> <br />Harjinder Gill, 109 William Street, Superior, CO took the oath. Mr. Gill was <br />accompanied by his brother in law who is helping get the business up and <br />running. They reported they would like to establish a neighborhood eating place <br />and also serve alcohol. The restaurant is almost ready to open and they are <br />looking forward to getting the liquor license so the establishment can open. The <br />plan is to serve fresh and flavorful food. Mr. Gill has operated restaurants before <br />and not received any liquor violations. <br /> <br />Machado asked for any audience members to speak for or against the <br />application. Hearing none, he closed the public hearing and called for authority <br />comment. <br /> <br />Chairperson Machado asked the applicant to develop a relationship with the <br />Louisville Police Department, stay current on liquor laws and informed him of the <br />seller/server training available on a quarterly basis. He called for a motion. <br /> <br />Carlson moved the Local Licensing Authority of the City of Louisville find the <br />applicant is of good moral character, the inhabitants of the neighborhood <br />desire the license be granted, the license will meet the reasonable <br />requirements of the neighborhood, all City and State law requirements have <br />been met and, based on these findings, the Local Licensing Authority <br />approve issuance of a hotel and restaurant liquor license for Seafood & <br />Chophouse, Inc. d/b/a Seafood & Chophouse. Tennessen seconded. Roll <br />Call Vote: Machado – yes, Tennessen – yes, Hughes - yes and Carlson – <br />yes. License approved. <br /> <br />Police Department Reports <br /> <br />Corporal Redard noted the police department will hold a special server training <br />for those volunteers serving alcohol at the Street Faire. <br />
