<br />XII. Event Schedule/Public Relations Update (Free Advertising in Local <br />Phone Books) - Julie K.lMaryan <br />Julie K. informed members of the approximately 600 membership. Maryan <br />discussed free advertising in local phone book that was offered. An events line <br />was discussed. <br /> <br />XIII. Arts Center Steering Committee - Don <br />Don discussed the Arts Steering Committee comprised of members from <br />Coal Creek Theatre, Louisville Chamber of Commerce, and himself. Discussion <br />regarding a potential taxing district. <br /> <br />XIV. LCC Brainstorming - All <br />Maryan suggested to Julie S. for a schedule of events to be posted at the <br />Arts Center so that everyone and group using the facility knows who is coming <br />before or after them to keep the Arts Center organized and clean for the next <br />person/group. She had to move heavy green chairs with Don for her recent <br />Dance event, and the Arts Center apparently had been used recently by a <br />theater group. <br /> <br />Julie K. discussed recent Event Reports which were submitted, and attached to <br />last meeting's minutes for review and revision. Also attached is Sponsorship <br />Receipts, which she encouraged members to use, and stressed that <br />contributions "may" be tax deductible. <br /> <br />Julie told Carol to revise the audience number on her report to reflect the <br />breakdown of number of children and seniors. Julie further reminded members to <br />give out surveys at concert events and include it as part of event reports. Lastly, <br />she mentioned Gary Guerriero, qarv4now@vahoo.com, for graphic design help. <br /> <br />XV. Recap of Completed Events - Carol/Maryan/Julie K. <br />Carol recapped on children's concert with Mr. Shine on February 8th. Local <br />performer was well received with 200 attendants. Arts Center was not organized, <br />with chairs and heavy tables everywhere. <br /> <br />Maryan recapped on Dance Evening: Waltz & Tango. She thought the chosen <br />dances were too progressive perhaps. It was not well attended. She also <br />recapped on the Coffeehouse Concert, in which she's the liaison to Wendy. Not <br />well attended. <br /> <br />XVI. Upcoming Events as Needed - Event Planners <br />Megan and Hanna from the Youth Advisory Board discussed the <br />upcoming Poetry Slam on April1ih. Three teachers are interested in <br />participating, and flyers distributed to students, mainly to 6th graders. Teachers <br />are offering to give participating students extra credit. Refreshments to be <br />served. <br />
