During the course of the strategic planning process, the Planning Committee collected information <br />about the Louisville community's current stratus and future development plans as outlined in the <br />City's Comprehensive Plan and described by the City's Director of Planning, Paul Wood. Mr. Wood <br />presented valuable background information about the changing demographics, employment trends, <br />expected business development, and the transit oriented development associated with the <br />FasTracks commuter rail station planned for downtown Louisville. Members of the strategic planning <br />committee then developed valuable insights about the Library and its relationship with the <br />community, as is reflected in the Library Assessment of its strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, <br />and threats {SWOT analysis). <br />5 <br />
