Draft for April 22, 2008 City Council Study Session <br />ORDINANCE NO. <br />SERIES 2008 <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CERTAIN SECTIONS OF TITLE 10 and <br />Title 17 OF THE LOUISVILLE MUNICIPAL CODE TO REVISE THE <br />CITY'S REGULATIONS CONCERNING THE PARHING AND <br />STORAGE OF MOTOR VEHICLES, RECREATIONAL VEHICLES, <br />TRAILERS, DUMPSTERS, ROLL-OFFS AND PORTABLE STORAGE <br />UNITS. <br />WHEREAS, the Louisville Municipal Code contains various provisions regarding the <br />parking and storage of motor vehicles, recreational vehicles and trailers within the City of <br />Louisville; and <br />WHEREAS, the City desires to amend certain sections of Title 10 and Title 17 of the <br />Louisville Municipal Code to update, reviise and clarify the City's regulations regarding the <br />parking of motor vehicles, recreational vehicles, and trailer on residential properties within the <br />City, and to adopt regulations concerning dumpsters, roll-offs and portable storage units; and <br />WHEREAS, the Louisville Planning; Commission, after notice by publication and a public <br />hearing, has recommended the City Council approve the amendments to Title 10 and Title 17 set <br />forth in this ordinance; and <br />WHEREAS, City Council has provided notice of a public hearing on said ordinance by <br />publication as provided by law and held a public hearing as provided in said notice. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE <br />CITY OF LOUISVILLE, COLORADO: <br />Section 1. Section 17.20.160 of the Louisville Municipal Code is hereby amended to <br />read as follows (words added are underlinediwords deleted are sl~~~: <br />Sec. 17.20.160. Motor vehicle El~arking limitations. <br />A. It is unlawful for any person to park a motor vehicle, or for any person as <br />owner, lessee, tenant or occupant oi' any residential lot to permit a motor vehicle <br />to be parked, in the front yard of a residential lot or, for residential corner lots, <br />within any area between the streets and the walls of the structures facing the <br />streets, except on the paved driveway which is intended for parking or access to <br />the garage or carport. <br />B. On residential lots, no more; than two motor vehicles may be parked on <br />any area of the lot other than withiin a fully enclosed structure or on the paved <br />1 <br />
