PRESEN`1'A'['ION -- LOUISV:[LLE YOU'T'H ACTTVITIES <br />ASSOCIATION Ken Fer.rera and Dan DiSaLle presented an update on <br />the Louisville Youth Activities Association`s 1988 <br />Calendar Campaign. Mr. F'errera stated that over <br />the last two years, the Association has raised <br />over $SU,000 which was spent to purchase <br />equipment for City youth activities. Mr. I'errera <br />asked that everyone support the fund raising <br />campaign by purchasing the raffle ticket <br />calendars. <br />Mayor. Fauson thanked Mr. Ferrero and Mr. Di_Sall <br />and the members of the Youth Activities <br />Association for their help and support of the <br />youth programs in Louisville. <br />ORDINANCE #9'/1 -- SERIES 7..988 - SALARY SCHEDULE - <br />PUBLIC HEARING Read by title only, Ordinance #9'/U, Series 1988, <br />"An Ordinance amending Title 2, Chapter 2.68 of , <br />the Louisville :Municipal Code concerning position <br />classifications and salary schedule." <br />Certification of publication and notice of public <br />hearing were established and Mayor Fauson opened <br />the public hearing. <br />Asti-Caranci stated that in May of this year, the <br />Finance Staff conducted a salary survey uti.lizin~I <br />the Colorado Municipal League and the Colorado <br />Library Association's salary surveys. In <br />analyzing the salaries paid by other <br />municipalities to employees in similar positions, <br />staff discovered that 5U out of the ~4 city <br />positions were :not competitive with the market <br />area. Based on the relationships of positions and <br />the competitive data staff developed, a salary <br />structure for 1989 which is outlined i.n this <br />Ordinance. The 1989 budget has been premised on <br />the salary structure and includes $54,U4`~ to raise <br />the thirty incumbents who are below the minimum to <br />the range minimwn, and $'16,169 for an average of <br />4.25 salary increase for each incumbent. <br />Mayor Fauson closed the public hearing and called <br />for a motion. <br />Mohr moved and Scarpella seconded to adopt <br />Ordinance #9'11.
