consistent with the briefing provided to Council at
their last meeting. The easement represents
approximately 2 1/2 acres and is being acquired at
$.075/per s.f. ($8,3:?0). The Homart easement is in
the amount of $l0.OCl.
Phare explained that: although Council was just
presented with the documents, he feels that both
contracts are straight forward and would recommend
approval. However, should Council choose to wait
until their next meE~ting to allow time to review the
contracts, that wou]_d not present a major problem
with the project.
The Homart easement was essentially provided for
under a standard agreement with all developers
wherein they are required to provide utility service
easements to the City and to their particular
development.
Council agreed that they had been informed by Phare
of these upcoming agreements and there are no
departures from that: information provided earlier
and therefore would feel comfortable with approving
these two easement agreements this evening.
Szymanski moved that. the easement agreements with
Public Service Company and Homart Development
Corporation be approved. Anderson seconded.
Unanimous.
FINANCE COMMITTEE
MEETING Hundley requested a Finance Committee Meeting for
Tuesday morning, November 10th at 7:30 a.m.
PUBLIC COMMENTS None.
COUNCIL COMMENTS AND COMMITTEE
REPORTS Mayor Fauson congratulated Councilmembers on the
well conducted campaign during the election and
welcomed everyone back to their seat on Council.
Szymanski thanked th.e voters who came out to the
polls and cast their ballots.
ADJOURNMENT With no further business, Mayor Fauson adjourned the
meeting at 8:15 p.m. Mohr seconded. Unanimous.
7
