Phare explained that: the value of the water rights <br />is in the neighborhood of $300,000 and has a <br />historical yield of over 300 acre feet of water. <br />The closing of this purchase represents a major <br />water right acquisition for the City. <br />Mayor Fauson moved ghat Council approve the Marshall <br />Lake and South Boulder and Coal Creek Water Rights <br />Purchase Contract. Mohr seconded. Unanimous. <br />PUBLIC COMMENTS Elizabeth Nick, 174 So. Hoover Ave., asked when <br />Council took action on the alignment of the W-470 <br />project and how each member voted. <br />Mayor Fauson stated that Council did not specify at <br />their last Council Meeting any definite route and <br />the two routes were agreeable to Council. Mayor <br />Fauson stated that Council allowed Councilman Mohr, <br />W-470 Task Force Representative, to present the <br />concerns that citizens of Louisville had at the <br />public meeting. <br />Mohr stated that the discussion at the public <br />hearing in Louisville clearly indicated that Council <br />was in favor of W-470 and that a position of flexi- <br />bility of alignment be maintain to see what other <br />jurisdictions were advising. "The obvious situation <br />at the meeting on Tuesday (W-470 Task Force advisory <br />meeting to DRCOG) with the exception of Arvada and <br />Superior, the other entities wish, at least at this <br />time, to make the primary route be east of Rocky <br />Flats and northwest of StorageTek. So in that con- <br />text, we voted with that majority." <br />Ms. Nick asked if there had been a formal vote by <br />Council. <br />Mayor Fauson stated that there was not a formal vote <br />by Council. <br />COUNCIL COMMENTS AND COMMITTEE <br />REPORTS Mohr stated that the BVPS Bond Election is December <br />8 wherein voters will decide on a bond issue of <br />which 40~ will be favorably impacting Louisville's <br />elementary, middle acid high schools and asked that <br />residents get out anc~ vote. <br />Sackett stated that he would be attending both the <br />Program Committee anti the Board of Directors <br />meetings of DRCOG wherein the matter of the W-470 <br />alignment will be discussed. Sackett stated that <br />"when we (Louisville) attend these various <br />assignments that it is our option to view the data <br />that is presented at time and vote in accordance <br />with what we think is; best for Louisville.
