ATTACHNIEI.VT A <br />The Planning Cornd.ssion, at their June 24, 1986 meeting, approved the following <br />amendments to Louisville~s Comprehensive Plan: <br />1. Extend the area covered by the Comprehensive Plan. south of U.S. 36 to <br />include the southwest quadrant of the interchange & designate this area <br />commercial. <br />2. Remove the 1500' buffer from the Development Plan Map but add the following <br />text to the Comp Plan: <br />"Tn order to insure quality development & to mitigate adverse environ- <br />ment impacts, development within 1500' of U.S. 36 should be revi~aed <br />by the City & encouraged to meet the following guidelines ~ <br />1. All development should be subject to the Planned Unit Development <br />Process. <br />2. No highway access to land adjacent to McCaslin Blvd, should be <br />approved between the interchar~e & Dillon Road on the north nor <br />closer thaw 1000' from the eastbound exit ramp on the south tmless <br />specifically approved by the Cotm~ission & Council. <br />3. Ding the development process, the Commission & Council should <br />insure that adequate provisions are made to reduce noise & other <br />detrimental effects including the visual integrity of the City <br />entrance & views. The Commission & Council may consider berming, <br />landscaping, height restrictions, natural topography or other <br />measures to reduce or eliminate the impacto <br />4. Any proposed land use should be accompained by a traffic study to <br />enable the Commission & Council to determine whether improvements <br />may be necessary to the interchange or to major access roads in the <br />area.~~ <br />3. Add a commercial designation to the northeast quadrant of the intersection of <br />South Boulder Road & Highway 42. <br />4. Make the following "housekeeping" amendments: <br />A. Shaw McCaslin Blvd, as currently built. <br />B. Shaw Via Apia as plannedo <br />C. Remove highway 287 from the map, <br />D. Remove the regional shopping center designation from the Homart areao <br />
