ORDINANCE #894 - UNIFORM FIRE CODE - CONTINUATION OF <br />PUBLIC HEARING Wanush explained that this Ordinance was tabled on <br />second reading at the last Council Meeting to <br />allow staff added time to clarify the authority <br />for enforcing the code. This Ordinance contains <br />several amendments to indicated that the City <br />Administrator or the City itself has the ultimate <br />power to enforce the code. <br />Mohr moved that Ordinance #894 be adopted as <br />amended. Mayor Fauson seconded. By Roll Call <br />Vote, Ordinance #894 was adopted unanimously. <br />ORDINANCE #904 - ROW VACATION - 80TH STREET - <br />1ST READING Rautenstraus read by title only Ordinance #904, <br />"An ordinance vacating a right-of-way known as <br />80th Avenue between Dyer Road and the North <br />Boundary of Parcel D." Permission is being sought <br />to place the Ordinance out for publication and <br />public hearing set for August 5, 1986. <br />Mayor Fauson moved that Ordinance #904 be placed <br />out for publication and a public hearing set for <br />August 5, 1986. Szymanski seconded. Motion <br />carried with Anderson abstaining from vote. <br />HISTORICAL COMMISSION <br />LEASE Rautenstraus explained that this lease has been <br />discussed with Council previously. Staff met with <br />members of the Historical Commission and they find <br />it acceptable. Authority is needed to prepare an <br />ordinance to adopt this lease as it is a lease for <br />longer than 1 year. <br />Mayor Fauson moved that authorization be given to <br />prepare an ordinance for the Historical Commission <br />lease. Szymanski seconded. Unanimous. <br />RESOLUTION #33 - PURCHASING <br />POLICY Rautenstraus read in its entirety Resolution #33, <br />"A Resolution adopting purchasing policies and <br />procedures for the City of Louisville." <br />Hundley explained that this document was reviewed <br />by the City's Finance Committee. Hundley <br />commended Asti-Caranci for her efforts in putting <br />this together. "It is an exhaustive document that <br />will ensure all materials and supplies purchased <br />by the City of Louisville will be done both <br />competitively and openly and ensure adequate <br />control ovex' the City's finances." <br />The Finance Committee also commended Asti-Caranci <br />for her efforts with this document and found it to <br />be an exceptional document and covers every aspect <br />of purchasing that should ever arise. <br />2 <br />
