Prior
to that date the owner had constructed a hottub in a restricted
area without a building permit. The Board of Adjustment denied the
variance. Campbell wondered what the current status was of getting
the hottub removed.

Davidson referred it to staff and stated they would get back to
Ca~bell on that. He called for anyone else in the audience
wanting to speak on any item not on the Agenda.

NOS~E

COUNCIL INFORMATIONAL COMMENTS ON PERTINENT ITEMS
NOT ON THE AGENDA

Mayer commented that February 2, 1994, the Consortium of Cities
will be meeting in the Louisville City Council Chambers to discuss
re?ional trail priorities within Boulder County. He asked Public Service representatives to
speak to Council concerning this.

Gerhardt Ryplewski, Street Light Designer for Public Service
Company, stated that he designed McCaslin Boulevard lighting during
its. initial construction. He follows a roadway lighting standard
produced by the Illuminating Engineering Society. He considered
McCaslin as a major intermediate route, because it has a tie from
U.~.. 36 to South Boulder Road, which is presently four lane. The
li?hting was designed/installed, so that the light distribution was
on the street and not into the surrounding areas.
