Cityot <br />Louisville <br />COLORADO • SINCE 1878 <br />BUSINESS RETENTION AND <br />DEVELOPMENT COMMITTEE <br />SUBJECT: <br />DATE: <br />BUSINESS ASSISTANCE PROGRAM REVIEW <br />MAY 2, 2016 <br />PRESENTED BY: AARON DEJONG, ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT <br />SUMMARY: <br />The Committee asked for a review of the Business Assistance Program (BAP) as it <br />relates to requests that have not been advanced. <br />DISCUSSION: <br />Attached is a spreadsheet of companies or projects that discussed with Economic <br />Development about incentives for a proposed project in Louisville starting in 2014. I <br />have kept the identity of the companies confidential. I have also provided the main <br />reason for not pursuing incentives for each project. <br />Also attached is the listing of projects that have received a Business Assistance <br />Package from the City of Louisville since January 1, 2014 as a comparison to other <br />projects. <br />Staff is prepared to discuss this information and take questions regarding the <br />information. <br />RECOMMENDATION: <br />Staff encourages the Committee to discuss the information and provide input to staff. <br />ATTACHMENT(S): <br />1.
