City Council <br />Meeting Minutes <br />July 5, 2016 <br />Page 9 of 10 <br />Council member Keany moved to approve the exercise of the option to purchase the <br />solar panels, seconded by Council member Leh. Roll Call Vote 6 -0. Council member <br />Maloney absent. <br />ORDINANCE NO. 1722, SERIES 2016 — AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE <br />PAYMENT OF CITY MONEYS FOR THE CITY'S ACQUISITION OF PROPERTY <br />LEGALLY DESCRIBED AS LOTS 9 AND 10, BLOCK 4, LOUISVILLE OLD TOWN — <br />1st Reading — Set Public Hearing 07/19/2016 <br />RESOLUTION NO. 33, SERIES 2016 — A RESOLUTION APPROVING A PURCHASE <br />CONTRACT TO BUY AND SELL REAL ESTATE FOR THE CITY'S ACQUISITION OF <br />PROPERTY LEGALLY DESCRIBED AS LOTS 9 AND 10, BLOCK 4, LOUISVILLE <br />OLD TOWN — Continue to 07/19/16 <br />Mayor Muckle requested a City Attorney introduction. <br />City Attorney Light introduced Ordinance No. 1722, Series 2016. <br />MOTION: Mayor Muckle moved to approve Ordinance No.1722, Series 2016 on first <br />reading, ordered it published and set a public hearing for July 19, 2016, seconded by <br />Council member Keany. All in favor. <br />City Attorney Light noted the staff recommendation on Resolution No. 33, Series 2016 <br />is to continue to July 19, 2016. <br />City Manager Fleming stated staff is recommending this purchase to use the parcel for <br />additional parking and to have some control over how the property develops in relation <br />to historic downtown. <br />Mayor Muckle moved to continue Resolution No. 33, Series 2016 to July 19, 2016, <br />seconded by Council member Stolzmann. All in favor. <br />CITY ATTORNEY'S REPORT <br />No report. <br />COUNCIL COMMENTS, COMMITTEE REPORTS, AND IDENTIFICATION OF <br />FUTURE AGENDA ITEMS <br />Council member Stolzmann noted some changes in how DRCOG is taking input on <br />Metro Vision. DRCOG will also be discussing the regional transportation process and <br />HOV 3 implementation. <br />UPDATE FROM LEGAL REVIEW COMMITTEE REGARDING MUNICIPAL JUDGE <br />APPOINTMENT <br />
