COUNCIL COMMENTS AND COMMITTEE REPORTS

Mayer stated that Council would be getting copies for draft IGA's for a Solid Waste District. If there
is a favorable vote on the sales tax, he wanted direction from Council.

Davidson recommended that Mayer go back with the statement that Council would enter into
negotiations only after the vote.

Sisk stated that he had been meeting every other Tuesday morning on the issue of growth fees. A
letter had been submitted by Joe Winslow, School Board Chairman, asking for the School Board's
support in partnership with the cities on the support of the various taxing mechanisms on the ballots.
They are asking for a resolution showing that would show that the School District would be willing
to work in partnership with the cities in these endeavors. That resolution is going to be considered
at this Tuesday night's School Board meeting.

Davidson had a meeting with a Jupiter Realty representative concerning the Biella/Menkick land and
he'll be meeting with Superior tomorrow. Jupiter Realty is taking a very aggressive stance. Also,
since Shopko was not coming to the city, and the developer stated that it will not be replaced by a
"large box," but "medium boxes," and there was the assumption that Shopko would be operational
by the fourth quarter of next year, which is in the Budget, so he proposed taking that money back out
of the Budget.

ADJOURNMENT

Howard moved that Council adjourn (10:06 p.m.). Seconded by Sisk. All in favor.

Tom Davidson, Mayor

ATTEST:

Maj-Lis Kemper, City Clerk

11
