He added that if Council
approves this tonight, they are prepared to meet with
representatives of the architect, contractor, and designers
tomorrow morning at 9:00 a.m. to initiate the pre-construction
process for a fast track approval of their permit.

Davidson stated that due to the applicants not having arrived
(Council meeting had progressed more quickly than had been
estimated), this item would be picked up later in the meeting.

DISCUSSION/DIRECTION - LOUISVILT~ CHAMBER OF COMMERCE LEASE
AGREEMENT

Lathrop asked to be excused for this item, since his wife, Carol,
Vice President of the Louisville Chamber of Commerce, would be
making a presentation.

Davidson asked that the record show that Councilman Rob Lathrop had
excused himself.

Annette Brand, City Administrator, commented that for several years
the City has leased the building that the City owns at 717 Main
Street to the Chamber. She stated that several of the Council
members have expressed some desire to have the City use that
building to ease some of the crowding of office space at City Hall.
She stated that if the City is going to do that in 1993, Council
needs to give the Chamber 90 days in accordance with the terms of
the lease.

Carol Lathrop, 235 Hover Court, Louisville, CO, Vice President of
the Louisville Chamber of Commerce, explained that based on a rumor
of a possible non-renewal of the Chamber's lease, the Chamber Board
decided to form a committee to explore locations for the Chamber
offices. She read a letter from Dennis Drumm, Chairman of the Ad
Hoc Committee, evaluating alternative office locations (SEE
ATTACHED). She stated that the Chamber Board and the Chamber
members present at the meeting agree with the findings of the Ad
Hoc Committee and requested Council to consider it in their
decision.

John Sackett, 596 Fairfield Lane, Louisville, CO, President of
Avista Hospital, commented that the Council had a unique
opportunity to re-establish a strong commitment toward a
partnership with the local business people and the Chamber of

6
