until the City determines to develop and utilize its own address database, or can <br />provide an electronic file of its addresses so that the compliance of database <br />providers can be verified and sustained, and <br />WHEREAS, the latest approved 24 month suspension will expire <br />September 16, 2017, the City has not yet developed its own address database, <br />and the City is unable to provide an electronic file of its addresses in order to venfy <br />the accuracy of the provider's data, and <br />WHEREAS, the City is currently working to develop addressing data for <br />implementation and use with the City's new enterpnse resource planning software, <br />and <br />WHEREAS, the City expects this data to be available within the next 24 <br />months, and such data would allow the City to provide an electronic file for <br />retailers to use for tax compliance; and <br />WHEREAS, the Finance Director of the City of Louisville has proposed the <br />following regulation be adopted. <br />1. That Subsection 3.20.414.8 of the Louisville Municipal Code be suspended <br />for an additional 24 months effective as of the date of this Resolution. <br />2. That the period of such extended suspension shall be for 24 months from <br />the date of this Resolution, unless otherwise provided by subsequent <br />regulation approved by City Council resolution. <br />3. That during such period of suspension, the hold -harmless provision of said <br />Subsection 3.20 414 B shall not apply <br />4. That nothing in this regulation shall affect the authority of the City, in its <br />discretion, to repeal or amend all or any provisions of Section 3.20.414 B, <br />or to develop, utilize and require use of a City address database <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of <br />Louisville, Colorado, does hereby approve the extension of suspension of <br />Ordinance No. 1534, Section 3.20 412 of the Louisville Municipal Code (LMC), <br />subject to the above conditions. <br />A <br />By. ..)W'i° <br />Robert P.
