Resolution No. 25, Series 2008 - A Resolution Approving an Intergovernmental Agreement (/GA)for the Provision of Services and Aid in Preparation For and During the Democratic National Convention PUBLIC COMMENTS ON ITEMS NOT ON THE AGENDA Howard Pollack, 833 Lincoln Avenue, Louisville, CO stated at one time the City had an emergency warning system. He noted with the recent tornado in Windsor, the City might consider putting somE; sort of emergency warning system in place. Police Chief Bruce Goodman explained the City did have an emergency warning siren, but the system deteriorated and was removed. The City has investigated a new citywide siren system and receiived quotes. A new system will be included in the 2009 budget process. He noted there is an emergency warning system through the 911 provider, but notice is delayed by approximately 45 minutes. COUNCIL INFORMATIONAL COMMENTS ON PERTINENT ITEMS NOT ON THE AGENDA Mayor Pro Tem Sheri Marsella congratulated the Downtown Business Association (DBA) on the success of the season's first Street Faire and the Chamber of Commerce for a wonderful "Taste of Louisville" event. Councilor Bob Muckle congratulated the Cultural Council for the success of the first Thursday, "Concert in the Park" series. Councilor Frost Yarnell and her daughter attended the Children's Puppet Theatre event on June 7th. The successful Event was sponsored by the Cultural Council. Mayor Sisk reported on the success of Saturday's "Touch a Truck" event, and the swimming event at the Memory Square Swimming Pool.
