Resolution No. 25, Series 2008 - A Resolution Approving an <br />Intergovernmental Agreement (/GA)for the Provision of Services <br />and Aid in Preparation For and During the Democratic National <br />Convention <br />PUBLIC COMMENTS ON ITEMS NOT ON THE AGENDA <br />Howard Pollack, 833 Lincoln Avenue, Louisville, CO stated at one time the City <br />had an emergency warning system. He noted with the recent tornado in Windsor, <br />the City might consider putting somE; sort of emergency warning system in place. <br />Police Chief Bruce Goodman explained the City did have an emergency warning <br />siren, but the system deteriorated and was removed. The City has investigated a <br />new citywide siren system and receiived quotes. A new system will be included in <br />the 2009 budget process. He noted there is an emergency warning system <br />through the 911 provider, but notice is delayed by approximately 45 minutes. <br />COUNCIL INFORMATIONAL COMMENTS ON PERTINENT ITEMS NOT ON <br />THE AGENDA <br />Mayor Pro Tem Sheri Marsella congratulated the Downtown Business <br />Association (DBA) on the success of the season's first Street Faire and the <br />Chamber of Commerce for a wonderful "Taste of Louisville" event. <br />Councilor Bob Muckle congratulated the Cultural Council for the success of the <br />first Thursday, "Concert in the Park" series. <br />Councilor Frost Yarnell and her daughter attended the Children's Puppet Theatre <br />event on June 7th. The successful Event was sponsored by the Cultural Council. <br />Mayor Sisk reported on the success of Saturday's "Touch a Truck" event, and the <br />swimming event at the Memory Square Swimming Pool. <br />CITY MANAGER'S REPORT <br />City Manager Malcolm Fleming reported on the following: <br />
