No specific conclusions reached on the following topics for consideration: <br />Downtown Retail Challenges; Business Retention Program (BAP); Costs of <br />Doing Business in Louisville compared to Other Communities; Downtown <br />Parking; Business Sector Diversification (i.e., what industries does Louisville <br />want that it does not currently have); Transportation Infrastructure and <br />Economic Gardening. <br />The Committee concluded that its near-term focus would be on the topics of <br />Marketing (of Louisville to businesses and of Louisville businesses), Downtown <br />Retail Concerns, and Assessment of Business Sector Diversification / <br />Opportunities (i.e., What do we want Louisville to be?). <br />e. Discussion of draft Noise Ordinance. After discussion, on motion duly made <br />and seconded, the Committee recommended to City Council that it not adopt the <br />draft Noise Ordinance circulated to the Committee. <br />f. Downtown Parking Analysis Scope of Work. Aaron DeJong updated the <br />Committee on the Downtown Parking Analysis Request for Proposals. No action <br />was required of the Committee. <br />g. <br />September Meeting Date. The Committee discussed whether to set an <br />alternative meeting date to replace the regularly scheduled September meeting <br />which falls on Labor Day. Committee members indicated their desire not to simply <br />cancel the meeting and asked Mr. DeJong to investigate alternative dates / <br />meeting venues for a To Be Re -scheduled Meeting Date. Mr. DeJong agreed to <br />investigate same and contact the Committee members if and when an alternative <br />date and venue was found. <br />VII. REPORTS FROM COMMITTEE MEMBERS. None. <br />VIII. POTENTIAL DISCUSSION ITEMS FOR NEXT MEETING. The Committee <br />referenced the topics outlined during the BRaD Future Topics Discussion as being <br />of near-term importance to the Committee as items for discussion at the next <br />meeting. <br />Marketing (of Louisville to businesses and of Louisville businesses); <br />Downtown Retail Concerns; and <br />Assessment of Business Sector Diversification / Opportunities (i.e., What do <br />we want Louisville to be?). <br />IX.
