8/7/84 Page -2- <br />MAYOR'S PROCLAMATION - COLORADO <br />MULTIPLE SCLEROSIS AWARENESS <br />MONTH <br />HOMART DEVELOPMENT CO. - <br />COMMERCIAL BUILDING PERMIT <br />WATER TAP REQUEST <br />TABLED <br />League Trophy for 1984; and it is a 5th <br />placE: trophy out of the 12 teams that <br />compE:ted in the summer swim league . There <br />were 98 children who participated and 43 <br />of them were ages 8 and under. Mayor Meier <br />statE~d that he was extremely proud and wished <br />to commend them on this accomplishment. <br />Councilmembers had a copy of the proclamation <br />and Mayor Meier read it in its entirety. <br />Acting Administrator Rupp advised that <br />Homart requested that this item be delayed <br />until a later date. <br />Councilman Cussen moved, Councilman Luce <br />seconded that the Homart Development Co. <br />commercial building permit and water tap <br />request be tabled. All in favor. Motion <br />carr:ied unanimously. <br />BELLOCK LETTER - PINE ST. Councilmembers had a copy of Mr. Bellock's <br />PLAZA WATERING AUTHORI- letter stating the request. <br />.T ION Acting Administrator Rupp stated that Mr. <br /> Bellock was not in the audience and he was <br /> aware that the item would be up for discussion <br /> this evening. He felt that the applicant <br /> should be present when a request such as <br /> this comes before Council. Mr. Rupp also <br /> stated that the Pine Street Plaza is located <br /> in t:he low watering zone; and the pressure <br /> for this particular area should be normal. <br /> When he drove by there, the pressure seemed <br /> to be very high. <br />REQUEST DENIED Councilwoman Johnson moved, Councilman Leary <br /> seconded that Mr. Bellock's request be denied. <br /> All in favor. Motion carried unanimously. <br />PEABODY LETTER - PROPERTY Councilmembers had a copy of the letter and <br />FOR SALE a location map for their consideration. <br />Councilman Leary Inquired if the property was located in our <br /> urban services area. Mr. Rupp replied that <br /> it is not clearly defined; but you could make <br /> an interpretation there that it could be identi- <br /> fied. as outside the service area; however, <br /> the property was within the city limits and <br /> zoned agricultural and is in an open space <br /> area.. <br />
