7/5/84 Page -5- Councilwoman Johnson Stated that she would also like to respect Mr. Wurl's letter of resignation.for the reason he stated earlier - that he feels that it is in the best interest of Louisville right now., She accepted the resignation letter. Mayor Meier Stated quite frankly this was one of the Vote on the Motion hardest votes he will ever have to take. Rol]_ call vote on the motion: Luce Yes Morris ~'es Fauson Yes Meier Yes Johnson Yes Leary Yes Cussen Yes Motion carried unanimously. Mayor Meier Staged that Council had talked about someone to Y-eply Mr. Wurl in a temporary basis as City Administrator. At this time he had not been able to contact that person. Right after the meeting is adjourned, he would try to c;ontact the person again and would advise the press. Councilman Leary stated that the action must be taken by Council officially. He felt that the presss would bear with Council and allaw them to contact the person before they release this name. Recess Mayc>r Meier called a recess at 9:05 P.M. Meeting reconvened at 9:10 P.M. John Rupp - Interim Adminis- Councilman Fauson moved, Councilwoman John- trator son seconded that John Rupp, Director of Community Development be requested to be the intE~rmin City Administrator until a permanent selection is made by Council. Councilman Leary Wished to say that he felt that Mr. Rupp is the most qualified person to handle the posi- tion. Therefore, would vote in favor of the motion. Vote on the Motion All in favor. Motion carried unanimously. Designation of Two Council- Attorney Rautenstraus advised that it had members to Discuss Matters been discussed that possibly 2 Councilmembers ~ith Leon Wurl be designated by Council to discuss certain matters with Mr. Wurl.
