7/5/84 Page -5- <br />Councilwoman Johnson Stated that she would also like to respect <br />Mr. Wurl's letter of resignation.for the <br />reason he stated earlier - that he feels that <br />it is in the best interest of Louisville right <br />now., She accepted the resignation letter. <br />Mayor Meier Stated quite frankly this was one of the <br />Vote on the Motion hardest votes he will ever have to take. <br />Rol]_ call vote on the motion: <br />Luce Yes <br />Morris ~'es <br />Fauson Yes <br />Meier Yes <br />Johnson Yes <br />Leary Yes <br />Cussen Yes <br />Motion carried unanimously. <br />Mayor Meier Staged that Council had talked about someone <br />to Y-eply Mr. Wurl in a temporary basis as <br />City Administrator. At this time he had <br />not been able to contact that person. Right <br />after the meeting is adjourned, he would try <br />to c;ontact the person again and would advise <br />the press. <br />Councilman Leary stated that the action must <br />be taken by Council officially. He felt that <br />the presss would bear with Council and <br />allaw them to contact the person before they <br />release this name. <br />Recess Mayc>r Meier called a recess at 9:05 P.M. <br />Meeting reconvened at 9:10 P.M. <br />John Rupp - Interim Adminis- Councilman Fauson moved, Councilwoman John- <br />trator son seconded that John Rupp, Director of <br />Community Development be requested to be the <br />intE~rmin City Administrator until a permanent <br />selection is made by Council. <br />Councilman Leary Wished to say that he felt that Mr. Rupp is <br />the most qualified person to handle the posi- <br />tion. Therefore, would vote in favor of the <br />motion. <br />Vote on the Motion All in favor. Motion carried unanimously. <br />Designation of Two Council- Attorney Rautenstraus advised that it had <br />members to Discuss Matters been discussed that possibly 2 Councilmembers <br />~ith Leon Wurl be designated by Council to discuss certain <br />matters with Mr. Wurl. <br />
