Consent agenda approved. Authority Business A. Conversation with Chief Hayes Sergeant Redard reported Chief Hayes was not able to attend and sent his apologies. B. Discussion/Direction — Imposing training requirements Authority Attorney Gulley noted a draft resolution was included to strengthen the language concerning training requirements in the rules of procedure. This would still make the training requirement voluntary but would require new and transfer liquor licensees to provide a statement of training for their employees. She noted a requirement of training would need a municipal code amendment approved by City Council. Authority members discussed whether this should be included for renewals, how it might be part of the mitigating factors should a show cause be held for other violations, if it should be elevated to a requirement, whether training would prevent some of the police department reports seen by the Authority. Carlson moved the Authority add renewals to the proposed resolution and approve. Watson seconded. All in favor. C. Set Public Hearing and Boundaries of the Neighborhood — New Brew Pub License — Pau Hana Brewery LLC d/b/a Pau Hana Brewery LLC — 1700 Dogwood Street Machado moved the Authority set the boundaries of the neighborhood as the current city limits of the City of Louisville. Carlson seconded. Authority Attorney Culley asked for a friendly amendment to set the public hearing for Monday, September 25, 2017 at 7:00 PM. Motioner and seconder accepted the amendment. All in favor. D. Discussion/Direction - questions for Authority member applicants Authority members noted they were satisfied with the questions presented. Police Department Reports None.
