City Council <br />Meeting Minutes <br />October 10, 2017 <br />Page 6 of 6 <br />expanses generates and we think that will fund the new reserve amount in about three <br />years <br />Staff will provide a policy change for this during the 2019/2020 budget discussion and <br />Council will discuss next year how to build the reserve more specifically. <br />Public Comments <br />Steve Anderson asked how increased operational costs for new purchases are <br />accounted for in out -year operational budgets Director Stevens stated the recent <br />purchase of the Mayhoffer property will be reflected in 2018 budget Generally we <br />review operational costs every time new properties are purchased <br />Helen Moshak asked if three years is a reasonable time to build up the balance Interim <br />City Manager Balser stated we will see how the numbers come out with the new <br />operational model. Moshak urged Council to put a schedule in place. <br />Councilmember Keany noted if a property is available and everyone agrees on it, the <br />Council will find a way to pay for it and make adjustments as needed. <br />Mayor Muckle would like to keep some reserves on hand for bad times. <br />ADJOURN <br />Members adjourned the meeting at 7.15 pm. <br />Robert P. uckle, ayor <br />
