Meeting Minutes—DRAFT THURSDAY, January 11, 2018 Library Meeting Room, 1st Floor 951 Spruce Street 6:30 PM 1) Call to Order A quorum was present and Board president Jeannie Schuman called the meeting to order at 6:30 PM. Board Secretary Richard Chamberlin made a statement that he thought there should be a formal roll call at each Board meeting and enumerated four reasons: (1) it is required by the bylaws; (2) the Board Secretary is expected to attest to all documents, presumably including the minutes which include the roll call; (3) Secretary Chamberlin offered a personal fact that his memory for names and faces was not good and with the Board meeting only every two months he appreciated the reminder of who was present; and (4), the board should get in the habit of making a formal roll call in case members of the public are present so that they can know who the board is. 2) Roll Call A member of the public was present, and the Board and Library staff introduced themselves by name.
