Business Retention and Development Committee <br />Meeting Minutes <br />May 7, 2018 <br />Page 3 of 3 <br />1. BID District Discussion: Mr. DeJong provided an update on discussion of a <br />business improvement district for downtown, noting that the discussion / <br />process has been put on hold for now. <br />2. Vaisala: Update re new building in CTC. <br />3. Solid Power Battery: City Council approved a business assistance <br />agreement with this company. <br />4. Terraces on Main: Continued to July 17. <br />5. RFP for Sam's Club Area Development: City Council directed staff to <br />prepare an RFP for a consultant to assess redevelopment of the Sam's <br />Club area. <br />6. 2018 Q1 Revenue Report: Noted that the report showed City revenue was <br />generally up in all categories. <br />IX. REPORTS FROM COMMITTEE MEMBERS. <br />1. Taste of Louisville: June 2, 2018. <br />2. Suggestion (from member of the public): Consider adding a `Visit <br />Louisville' web page. Discussion broadened to include general social / pubic <br />web presence improvement and what resources does that require. Mr. <br />DeJong noted that this topic is in discussion by Council. <br />X. POTENTIAL DISCUSSION ITEMS FOR NEXT MEETING. The Committee <br />identified the following topics for potential discussion at the next meeting to be held <br />on June 4, 2018: <br />Review results of the Louisville Business Forum <br />XI. ADJOURN — The meeting adjourned at 9:20 am. <br />
