The Urban <br />character zone calls for smaller blocks, <br />more connected streets, and a more <br />pedestrian friendly environment, while the <br />Suburban character zone calls for more <br />auto -oriented development on larger blocks <br />with larger streets. Center development corresponds to the urban pattern and consists of small <br />parcels with limited landscaping. Buildings are oriented toward streets and sidewalks <br />with small, consistent setbacks. <br />Pedestrian and bike connectivity is <br />provided by street and sidewalk networks. <br />Corridor development corresponds to the <br />suburban pattern and consists of medium- <br />sized parcels with more formal <br />landscaping. Buildings are oriented toward <br />streets and parking lots with varying <br />setbacks. Pedestrian and bike connectivity <br />is provided by large sidewalks, on street <br />bike lanes, and hard surface trails. Edge <br />development corresponds to the rural <br />pattern and consists of large parcels with <br />natural landscaping.
