Resource Number: 5BL8038 <br />Temporary Resource Number: NIA Architectural Inventory Form <br />(Page 2 of 5) <br />21. General Architectural Description <br />This building is located on the east side of Main Street in <br />downtown Louisville, just to the north of, and connected to Karen's <br />Country Kitchen at the corner of Main and Pine Streets. Built <br />between 1900 and 1908, this building is a wood -frame commercial <br />building with a false front facade. The building rests on a <br />concrete or stone foundation, and has painted lavender horizontal <br />wood siding, with 1 " by 6" corner boards. The roof is a <br />moderately -pitched front gable, with the false front, and with grey <br />asphalt shingles and boxed eaves. The building's facade fronts <br />onto the sidewalk along Main Street to the west. Two painted <br />purple glass -in -wood -frame entry doors are located at either end <br />of the facade. A band of four, vertically oriented, fixed -pane <br />windows, with flower box <br />es ben <br />eath, are located between the two <br />doors. Both doors and the windows are covered by two burgundy <br />color canvas awnings. Two single wood -paneled doors open onto <br />a wood service porch on the east elevation. <br />29. Construction History (include description and dates of major <br />additions, alterations, or demolitions: <br />Sanborn insurance maps document that this building was <br />constructed between 1900 and 1908. There have been minimal <br />alterations and additions to the rear of the building within the past <br />fifty years. <br />..:.:.:...:.... <br />23.
