Statement of Significance The Guenzi House property is historically significant, relative to National Register Criterion A, for its associations with residential development in this eastern Louisville neighborhood in the years prior to 1950. The property's significance and integrity, though, is probably not to the extent that would qualify it for individual listing in the National Register of Historic Places. There does not appear to be the potential for a National Register Historic district in this area. 43. Assessment of historic physical integrity related to significance: This building's historical integrity has been compromised slightly by the application of vinyl siding over the historic exterior wall materials. There have been no additions to the house within the past forty years. The construction of a new garage, circa 1980, has diminished the integrity of setting to some extent.
