Local Licensing Authority <br />Minutes <br />November 26, 2018 <br />Page 2 of 3 <br />Machado called for any changes to the consent agenda. Watson moved the <br />consent agenda be approved. Brown seconded. All in favor. Absent: <br />Carlson and Lipton. Consent agenda approved. <br />Authority Business <br />A. Special Event Permit Application — Monarch High School Music <br />Boosters d/b/a Band Boosters — 1/25/2019 550 McCaslin Blvd. <br />Secretary Hanson noted the event manager, Julie Meseck, was in the audience. <br />Ms. Meseck introduced herself to the Authority and noted the Monarch High <br />School Band Boosters are holding this event as a fundraiser with live auction and <br />food catered. It will be limited to persons over the age of twenty-one who will be <br />identified at the door. They will receive one drink ticket at the door and will have <br />the ability to purchase additional drinks during the event. <br />Brown moved to approve the special event permit application, seconded by <br />Kaufman. All in favor. Absent: Carlson and Lipton. <br />Machado thanked Ms. Meseck for attending. <br />B. Modification of Premises — Albertsons LLC d/b/a Safeway Store #2812 <br />— 3.2% Beer License — 510 Cherry St. <br />Machado introduced the item. Authority members discussed the need for this <br />modification. <br />Watson moved the Authority approved the modification of premises for Safeway, <br />Brown seconded. All in favor. <br />C. Conversation with Chief Hayes <br />Chief Hayes talked to the Authority about some changes to their policy during a <br />DUI arrest. He noted in 2019 the police department is going to provide some <br />classes for first responders on drugs and drug treatment. <br />D. Discussion/Direction — December 17, 2018 meeting <br />Members decided to leave the December meeting as scheduled and Secretary <br />Hanson will let them know if there are not enough items to hold a meeting. <br />Police Department Reports <br />No reports. <br />Secretary's Report <br />
