IC Cityoj
Im Louisville
COLORADO • SINCE 1878
Space Zoning discussion that staff had with City Council
in October. Several properties were discussed for the
next phase of zoning. These properties will require more
detailed mapping, property research, and surveying.
Parks & Rec Department staff will continue working
together with other departments to develop specific
recommendations for Open Space zoning boundaries and
will present this to PPLAB for review and input; tentatively
in January.
VIII. Discussion and Direction on Consideration of
Changes in Liquor Regulations and Options in Parks:
The City's Legal Review Committee requested PPLAB's
input and preferred option for rules regarding the
consumption of alcohol in the parks. The final decision on
this rule will need to be posted on the City's new park
signs. After discussion, the Board voted unanimously in
favor of allowed alcohol consumption in parks as the
Board's preferred option.
IX. Scoresheet Discussion: The Board agreed the revised
scoresheets worked well. It was decided the next parks
scoresheets should differentiate between turf and
landscape. Dean will enlarge the "comments" section so
members can read the full comments.
X. Discussion on Park Naming and Signage Project:
Dean will assign parks to Board members to be revisited
for signage evaluation to help determine which parks will
be addressed first for new park signs and the best
placement of those signs. These evaluations will be
discussed at the next meeting. There was discussion on
options for approving park names for the few parks sites
with unofficial names before the signage moves forward.
The Board will continue discussion of this at the next
meeting.
XI. Agenda Items for Next Meeting: Updates and
discussion on approved CIPs. Prioritize medians for
improvements.
