APPROVAL OF RENEWAL OF INTERGOVERNMENTAL AGREEMENTS -
BETWEEN CITY OF LOUISVILLE AND BOULDER VALLEY SCHOOL
DISTRICT FOR USE OF PIRATES PARK AND TENNIS COURTS
AUTHORIZATION TO CHANGE TUESDAY, NOVEMBER 4, 1997 (ELECTION
DAY), REGULAR CITY COUNCIL MEETING TO WEDNESDAY, NOVEMBER
5, 1997

PUBLIC COMMENTS ON ITEMS NOT ON THE AGENDA

George Harrach, 294 Short Place, Louisville, Colorado, stated that for the past 1.5 years he had been
sending FAXes to members of Council and City employees concerning the flooding in his back yard.
There has been no resolution and construction continues behind his house.

Sisk excused himself as he had purchased the lot adjacent to Harrach's property and they had been
in communication.

Davidson excused Sisk on this presentation.

Harrach continued that Wonderland Homes had not completed the correction to the damage that they
did to the historical drainage pattern in that area. He had sent pictures to the City and nothing had
taken place yet. He wanted the City to look into this problem at greater depth than they had. He
already had to replace a wall in the basement and a bathroom that was damaged from being flooded.

Davidson asked Harrach to give his daytime phone number to the City Clerk and someone from the
City would contact him in the morning.

Harrach stated that all of his correspondences with the City did have his phone number on them.

COUNCIL INFORMATIONAL COMMENTS ON PERTINENT ITEMS
NOT ON THE AGENDA

Sisk stated that he and Keany had visited the new high school and they were very impressed. He
urged other Council members to do a walk-thru of the new school. Also, Davidson, Sisk, Keany, and
Gene Caranci had attended a School Board meeting two weeks ago and he felt it was clear that the
Board was not impressed to name the new high school Louisville High School despite pleas by all
parties in attendance. The Board wanted the committee to reconvene, which they did last Wednesday
night. Carol Lathrop, Gene Caranci were in attendance with the committee. The committee
forwarded two names, Monarch High School and Coal Creek High School to the School Board and
he felt the School Board would possibly act on this Thursday evening.

Keany was discouraged to find out at the School Board meeting that the Board was encouraging the
naming committee, the staff, and the principle that is already there to pick the high school colors and
mascot before any students are involved.

2
