The lease for the building must be
cover the renewal year of license.

AUTHORITY BUSINESS

Public Hearing/New Liquor License Application - Avril Charnley d/b/a Druid Arms - New
Tavern License - 809 Main St.

Chairperson Jeffers opened the public heating on the application of Avril Chamley for a Tavern License
at 809 Main Street in Louisville, under the business name of Druid Arms.

The Secretary commented that the application is for a Tavern license. Copies of the application have
been provided to each Authority member. The application is complete, and fingerprint reports are
already on file with the state. Public notice of this hearing has been posted and published in accordance
with state law. The Secretary was not aware of any reason that would require the Authority to deny the
application.

The Authority previously set the boundaries of the neighborhood for the license as the current boundaries
of the City of Louisville. Chairperson Jeffers asked if anyone present objected to the boundaries of the
neighborhood being the current boundaries of the City of Louisville. Being none, the Authority
proceeded with the public heating.

The applicant, Avril Charnley, 167 W. Cedar Way, Louisville, identified herself, was sworn in, and was
asked to make a presentation.

Ms. Charnley stated that she had lived in Louisville for 13 years and has always wanted to open a British
Pub in the Pasquale's location. She plans for a friendly atmosphere and a meeting place for the
community. She has discussed her plans with many local residents and has not found anyone who has
been opposed to the concept. In fact, she said that the response has been overwhelming.

Chairperson Jeffers asked the Authority members if they have any questions of the applicant.

Lipton asked the applicant if she had ever owned or had any experience in working in a tavern.

Charnley stated that she had managed pubs in England and has worked at Pine Street Junction and the

2
