Historic Preservation Commission <br />Meeting Minutes <br />March 19, 2008 <br />Page 10 of 10 <br /> <br /> <br />Demolition Request Review – <br />None <br /> <br />Planning Department Referrals – <br />None <br /> <br />Open Government Training <br />Muckle reminded members of their opportunities for open government training are March <br />31 at 7:00 PM and April 3 at 8:30 AM. She noted that all members are required to take <br />the training every two years. Muth added that the training will be offered again in the <br />Fall. <br /> <br />Updates <br />Ms. Downer’s Cabins <br />Jean Morgan, 1131 Spruce Street, asked members of the HPC to continue to think <br />about any possible locations for the cabins. She asked how she should go about asking <br />the City to fund the relocation of the cabins in 2009. <br /> <br />Muth suggested that Morgan make a formal request to the City Council as they move <br />into the 2009 budget process. <br /> <br />Mine Marker Project <br />Koertje noted that he plans to start working on this again and will contact the other <br />members of the subcommittee about a meeting. <br /> <br />Items from Staff <br /> - None <br /> <br />Items from Commission Members <br /> - Muckle thanked everyone for their hard work. <br /> <br />Discussion Items for Next Meeting <br />? <br /> Resolution Regarding Historic Preservation Sales Tax <br />? <br /> Ordinance Amendments <br /> <br />Tofte asked if the HPC also start discussing a non-contiguous historic district again. <br /> <br />Adjourn <br /> – Meeting adjourned at 9:35 PM. <br /> <br />
