Open Space Advisory Board
Minutes
November 12, 2008
clouds, lightening, hail. Outdoor health safety and scary critters. Astronomy and
Geology. If you know of anyone that could present one of these please let
Ember know and continue to send her your ideas.
Discuss OSAB Appreciation Event
Ember suggested dinner at the Goodhue farmhouse in Boulder on Rock Creek
Farm by Sigrid's raptor place. If we go there Tom would like it catered by a
Louisville business. Spencer would like to invite all OSAB alumni and have a
speaker. Guests are undecided yet but they could pay their way if they would
like to attend. Suggested speaker topics: Native Americans along Rock creek,
astronomy, Segrid's birds, conservation, Audubon Society to focus on birds, Ron
Stewart from Boulder Open Space, global warming. We hope to plan for
January. Ember noted with speaker they may require a larger crowd and wanted
to open it to regular open space volunteers. We could do potluck. Will discuss
details further next month. Bring your calendars to pick a date.
Discussion Items for Next Meeting
1. Educational programs
2. Plan January dates for appreciation dinner
3. Agenda items for joint Broomfield meeting.
4. Open Space Closures policy discussed.
Adjourn -Larry moved to adjourn, Bret seconded. The motion passed
unanimously.
