RESOLUTION NO. 55 <br />SERIES 2020 <br />A RESOLUTION APPROVING A PRESERVATION AND RESTORATION GRANT AND <br />NEW CONSTRUCTION GRANT FOR THE BERARDI HOUSE LOCATED AT 1016 <br />GRANT AVENUE <br />WHEREAS, there has been submitted to the Louisville Historic Preservation <br />Commission (HPC) an application requesting a Preservation and Restoration Grant and New <br />Construction Grant for the Berardi House, a historic residential structure located at 1016 <br />Grant Avenue, on property legally described Lots 19-20, Block 2, Capitol Hill, Town of <br />Louisville, City of Louisville, State of Colorado; and <br />WHEREAS, the Staff and the Louisville Historic Preservation Commission have <br />reviewed the application and found it to be in compliance with Chapter 3.20.605.D and <br />Section 15.36.120 of the Louisville Municipal Code; and <br />WHEREAS, the Louisville Historic Preservation Commission has held a properly <br />noticed public hearing on the proposed grant application and has recommended the request be <br />forwarded to the Louisville City Council with a recommendation of approval; and <br />WHEREAS, the City Council has duly considered the proposed Preservation and <br />Restoration grant application and the Commission's recommendation and report, and has <br />held a properly noticed public hearing on the application; and <br />WHEREAS, the City Council finds the proposed improvements will assist in the <br />preservation of the Berardi House, a local historic landmark. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />LOUISVILLE, COLORADO: <br />Section 1. The City Council hereby approves the Preservation and Restoration <br />Grant and New Construction Grant application for work at the Berardi House located 1016 <br />Grant Avenue, subject to the following- <br />1. Approved preservation items are those in the proposed scope of work <br />presented to City Council totaling $86,000. <br />2. There is approved a total grant amount of $55,000. <br />a. Preservation and Restoration Grant amount of $40,000 <br />b.
