RESOLUTION NO. 59 <br />SERIES 2020 <br />A RESOLUTION APPROVING AN INTERGOVERNMENTAL AGREEMENT BY AND <br />BETWEEN THE CITY OF LOUISVILLE AND THE BOULDER COUNTY CLERK <br />AND RECORDER FOR THE CONDUCT AND ADMINISTRATION OF THE 2020 <br />GENERAL ELECTION TO BE HELD NOVEMBER 3, 2020 <br />WHEREAS, the City will hold a special election on November 3, 2020 as a mail ballot <br />election coordinated by the Boulder County Clerk and Recorder pursuant to the Uniform Election <br />Code of 1992, as amended; and <br />WHEREAS, the attached Intergovernmental Agreement By and Between the City of <br />Louisville and the Boulder County Clerk and Recorder for the Conduct and Administration of the <br />2020 General Election to be held November 3, 2020 ("Intergovernmental Agreement") provides <br />for the conduct and financing of such coordinated election; <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF LOUISVILLE, COLORADO: <br />Section 1. The proposed Intergovernmental Agreement, a copy of which is attached <br />hereto and incorporated herein by this reference, is hereby approved. <br />Section 2. The Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized to execute the attached <br />Intergovernmental Agreement on behalf of the City of Louisville, except that such persons are <br />hereby further authorized to negotiate and approve such revisions to the Intergovernmental <br />Agreement as are determined necessary or desirable for the protection of the City, so long as the <br />essential terms and conditions of the Intergovernmental Agreement are not altered. <br />Section 3. Pursuant to C.R.S. Section 31-10-102.7, the City will utilize the <br />requirements and procedures of the Uniform Election Code of 1992, articles 1 to 13 of title 1, <br />C.R.S., as amended, in lieu of the Colorado Municipal Election Code of 1965, article 10 of title <br />31, C.R.S., as amended, with respect to the special election to be held on November 3, 2020, and <br />such election shall be conducted as part of the coordinated mail ballot election. <br />PASSED AND ADOPTED this 41h day of August, 2020 <br />shley zmann, Mayor <br />ATTEST: A <br />of L®t10�� <br />Meredyth Muth, City Clerk <br />SEAL► <br />COO Resolution No. 59, Series 2020 <br />Page 1 of 1 <br />
