RESOLUTION NO. 84 <br />SERIES 2020 <br />A RESOLUTION APPROVING A PRESERVATION AND RESTORATION LOAN FOR <br />THE MARRIOTT HOUSE LOCATED AT 833 JEFFERSON AVENUE <br />WHEREAS, there has been submitted to the Louisville Historic Preservation <br />Commission (HPC) and City Council an application requesting a preservation and restoration <br />loan for the Marriott House, a historic residential structure located at 833 Jefferson Avenue, <br />on property legally described as the north 17 feet of lot 7 and all of lot 8, and the vacated <br />alley adjacent to the west, Block 10, Jefferson Place, Town of Louisville, City of Louisville, <br />State of Colorado; and <br />WHEREAS, the City Staff and the HPC have reviewed the application and found it to <br />be in compliance with the criteria for a loan from the Historic Preservation Fund as outlined <br />in City Council Resolution 17, Series 2019, and found it to be in compliance with Municipal <br />Code Section 3.20.605.D and Chapter 15.36; and <br />WHEREAS, the HPC has held a properly noticed public meeting on the preservation <br />and restoration loan; and <br />WHEREAS, the preservation and restoration work being requested for the Marriott <br />House includes making repairs to the existing structure that meet the standards for <br />preservation, rehabilitation and restoration as outlined in City Council Resolution 17, Series <br />2019; and <br />WHEREAS, the City Council finds these proposed improvements will assist in the <br />preservation of the Marriott House, which is landmarked by the City. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />LOUISVILLE, COLORADO: <br />The City Council approves the proposed Preservation and Restoration Loan <br />application for the Marriott House for $100,000 and payment of the $400 loan - <br />processing fee. <br />PASSED AND ADOPTED this 2nd day of November 2020. <br />(ill-0211 A Y=- <br />Ashley St z ann, Mayor <br />ATTEST: <br />Meredyth Muth, <br />Resolution No. 84, Series 2020 <br />Page 1 of 1 <br />
