• Review requests for improvements to smaller pocket parks for example Sunflower Park <br />off Washington St. <br />• PPLAB discussion: As long as people are staying closer to home, we are going to <br />continue to see a greater interest in neighborhood parks. Parks and playgrounds have <br />become a popular destination for families. <br />• PPLAB's role will be to help create a process to prioritize improvement requests to <br />ensure that improvements will benefit community as a whole. <br />• PPLAB to continue evaluating parks using the parks scorecard. Discussion around <br />meeting at a park to review scoring criteria. Incorporate community input. <br />• No shelter rentals were possible under covid restrictions. Discussion around <br />commercial/business requests for parks to use as outdoor spaces. Commercial rental <br />took place this summer however the parks remained open for concurrent public use. <br />• Landscape design guidelines to be reviewed by PPLAB as drafted, in particular with the <br />new policy around organic herbicides. <br />• PPLAB members, Dean and Nathan to review and bring review ideas to subsequent <br />meeting. <br />11.
