4 <br /> <br /> <br />On Sept. 14, 1940, the Methodist pastor married Grace Dalby and George T. Davies (1901 -1980) in the <br />house at 601 Lincoln. George had been born in Wales and moved to Louisville in the 1930s. <br /> <br />George Dalby died in 1947. Jane Dalby, his wife, in 1947 transferred ownership of the house to herself <br />and her daughter, Grace Dalby Davies. <br /> <br />The following is a photo of the house taken by the Boulder County Assessor in 1948 along with a ground <br />layout of the house. It was listed as having 1,054 square feet at the time. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />Jane Dalby died in 1951 and her daughter, who had been co-owner, became the sole owner of 601 <br />Lincoln. Grace Dalby Davies and her husband, George, lived elsewhere and rented out the house for the <br />next few decades. At first, the renters were some of George’s relatives from Wales.
