City Council <br />Meeting Minutes <br />February 2, 2021 <br />Page 6 of 7 <br />Hogan stated Staff is seeking input from Council on the following: 1) should the City <br />cancel the SH42/Griffith project since it is no longer a top priority for service reliability per <br />Xcel; 2) should the City move forward with the 809 Main project; 3) Does Council want an <br />undergrounding policy setting out prioritization criteria? <br />an01[.TOOTuu-r0m 01rem <br />Mayor Stolzmann stated she supports moving forward with the 809 Main project and she <br />would like to continue with the SH42/Griffith project as we are already well along and it <br />would still be a useful project to complete. She suggested additional criteria for the <br />prioritization policy. <br />Mayor Pro Tern Maloney supported having a policy in place as it can take many years to <br />do these projects. He agreed with the Mayor's comments. <br />Councilmember Lipton would like service reliability included in the prioritization policy. He <br />also would like the Utility Committee to be included in the drafting of the policy. <br />Staff will bring the draft policy to the Utility Committee and then to Council for final <br />approval at a later date. <br />CITY ATTORNEY'S REPORT <br />None. <br />COUNCIL COMMENTS, COMMITTEE REPORTS, AND IDENTIFICATION OF FUTURE <br />AGENDA ITEMS <br />ECONOMIC VITALITY COMMITTEE — bringing a recommendation to Council regarding <br />the Business Retention & Development Committee on February 16. <br />FINANCE COMMITTEE — met to discuss Windy Gap financing and the 2021 insurance <br />renewal. Sales tax numbers seem to be holding steady. <br />UTILITY COMMITTEE — no report <br />COLORADO COMMUNITIES FOR CLIMATE ACTION — following several bills at the <br />state legislature. <br />COMMUTING SOLUTIONS — no report <br />CONSORTIUM OF CITIES — no report <br />DOWNTOWN BUSINESS ASSOCIATION STREET FAIRE — met today to discuss the <br />summer including various scenarios due to COVID. Likely to delay the event this year to <br />be have more options. <br />
