PRESENTATION - COLORADO RECYCLING MONTH JUNE 1997 <br /> <br />Sisk read and presented the Colorado Recycling Month proclamation to Parks & Recreation Director <br />Steve Baysinger. <br /> <br />Baysinger thanked Council and reported on behalf of the Louisville Resource Conservation Advisory <br />Board that over 10,000 lbs. of aluminum, over 300,000 lbs. of glass, over 1,000,000 lbs. of <br />newsprint, over 25,000 lbs. of steel cans, over 80,000 lbs. of corrugated paper, over 70,000 of junk <br />mail, over 40,000 lbs. of mixed paper and paper board, and over 300,000 lbs. of magazines had been <br />collected according to their year end totals for our recycling center. <br /> <br />Mayer suggested that the Resource Conservation Board, Council, and staff work together to come <br />up with a recycle and waste reduction policy for the City. He wanted the Conservation Board to <br />come up with a policy and forward it to Council to be studied at a Worksession. <br /> <br />Sisk urged implementation of Mayer's suggestion. He pointed out that there will be recycling <br />facilities on June 14 for the Taste of Louisville. He wanted the facilities available at all City functions. <br /> <br />ORDINANCE NO. 1242, SERIES 1996 - AMENDING THE PLANNED UNIT <br />DEVELOPMENT REGULATIONS CONTAINED IN CHAPTER 17.28 OF THE <br />LOUISVILLE MUNICIPAL CODE TO INCORPORATE INTO SUCH REGULATIONS <br />SPECIFIC REFERENCES AND REQUIREMENTS CONCERNING COMMERCIAL AND <br />INDUSTRIAL DEVELOPMENT DESIGN GUIDELINES; TO SPECIFICALLY ADDRESS <br />THE EFFECT OF APPROVAL OF A PRELIMINARY PLANNED UNIT DEVELOPMENT <br />PLAN, AND TO MAKE OTHER AMENDMENTS TO CHAPTERS 15.04, 17.16 AND 17.28 <br />OF THE LOUISVILLE MUNICIPAL CODE IN CONNECTION THEREWITH - 2ND <br />READING - PUBLIC HEARING - CONTINUED FROM 5/06/97 MEETING - REQUEST TO <br />CONTINUE TO 6/17/97 <br /> <br />Griffiths read by title only Ordinance No. 1242, Series 1996, "An ordinance amending the Planned <br />Unit Development Design Guidelines contained in Chapter 17.28 of the Louisville Municipal Code <br />to incorporate into such regulations the Louisville Commercial Development Design Guidelines; to <br />incorporate into such regulations specific references and requirements concerning commercial and <br />industrial development design guidelines; to specifically address the effect of approval of a preliminary <br />Planned Unit Development Plan, and to make other amendments to Chapters 15.04, 17.16, and 17.28 <br />of the Louisville Municipal Code in connection therewith." <br /> <br />Sisk opened the public heating. <br /> <br />Sisk moved that Council continue the public hearing until June 17, 1997, seconded by Howard.
