City0i <br />Louisville <br />COLORADO • SINCE 1878 <br />Cultural Council Meeting Minutes <br />Thursday, May 20, 2021 <br />Virtual Meeting <br />6:30 PM <br />We promote arts and culture in Louisville. We program cultural events, <br />advocate for and support artists, and advise City Council. By doing so <br />we engage our diverse social, cultural, and creative community. <br />This meeting will be held electronically. Residents interested in listening to the meeting should visit <br />the City's website here to link to the meeting: <br />https://www.lou isvilleco.gov/government/boards-commissions/cultural-council <br />The Council will accommodate public comments as much as possible during the meeting. Anyone <br />may also email comments to the Council prior to the meeting at <br />I. Call to Order : 6:32 <br />II. Roll Call : Leah Franks, Adam Sloat, Beth McLennan, Kim Poletti, Debbie <br />Davies, Mark Cathcart, Kate Ward, Lisa Kihn, Tami Owen, Emily Hogan <br />III. Approval of Today's Agenda : Kim approves, Adam seconds <br />IV. Public Comments: Items Not on the Agenda - Beth, Caboose wanted help <br />from the LCC to move it on main street temporarily for the summer. <br />Mark, should the LCC be involved or is it more historical opposed to art, <br />can someone connect to discuss how the LCC can help. Adam, <br />someone can reach out to see other options to help out. Beth, local <br />couple reached out to promote their outdoor movie business. LCC will <br />consider this. <br />V. Correction and/or Approval of April Meeting Minutes: Mark approves, <br />Lisa seconds <br />VI. Chair's Report (Leah). Megan Davis (deputy city manager) and Emily are <br />temporarily filling in for Katie's position. Staff Report & Budget Update <br />(Emily Hogan): No July meeting for LCC. Arts and events program <br />manager position has 60 applicants with plenty of good candidates, goal <br />is to have the position filled by the end of June. This appointment will <br />move under the Library and Museum services which will increase the <br />staffing pool. Summer concerts start in July. 4 LCC staff need to attend <br />each show along with city staff member. Food trucks are allowed back. <br />Safety requirements will change as needed. Under pass ribbon cutting <br />would like an LCC member to be involved, Kim has volunteered.
