Open Space Advisory Board <br />Information Item 6: Staff Updates Continued <br />July 14, 2021 <br />Page 3 of 2 <br />On Thursday July 1, 2021, the City received over an inch of rain in 30 minutes causing the Creek <br />to fill the pedestrian underpass on Dillon and creating new trail damage downstream. This trail <br />section has once again flooded. Additional trail damage occurred on Hecla, Aquarius, Davidson <br />Mesa, and other sections of Coal Creek trail systems. Trail repair work will begin the week of <br />July 5, 2021 if dry enough to do so. Long-term construction options are being discussed. <br />6. Staff completed trail edge mowing on all Open Space concrete trails. Remaining crusher -fine <br />trail edge mowing is anticipated to be complete by Friday, July 16, 2021. Due to delays in <br />mowing, the mowing rotation schedule was altered to prioritize and mitigate safety concerns <br />such visibility and reduced trail width. <br />
