LL Louisville <br />PARKS, RECREATION, AND OPEN SPACE <br />Memorandum <br />To: Open Space Advisory Board <br />From: Ember Brignull, Open Space Superintendent <br />Date: July 14, 2021 <br />Re: Information Item 6: Staff Updates <br />General: <br />1. Heather Balser, City Manager, has resigned. The City Managers' last day will be August 27, <br />2021. <br />2. Kathleen Hix, Human Resources Director, has resigned. Robin Brookhart, Human Resource <br />Analyst, is currently acting as the Interim Director until the position is filled. <br />3. During the July 13, 2021, City Council meeting, a discussion will occur regarding when boards <br />and commissions will be allowed to meet in person. Nathan Mosley will share the outcome of <br />the council discussion during the July OSAB meeting. <br />4. Nathan Mosley will work with the Deputy City Manager on developing a process to share OSAB's <br />interest regarding specific items on City Councils' work plan as discussed and identified in the <br />June OSAB meeting. <br />Red Trail Ridge Update from the Planning Department: <br />1. The Planning Commission completed their public hearing for the General Development Plan <br />(GDP) Amendment on June 10 and voted to recommend conditional approval to City <br />Council. City Council's first reading for the GDP Amendment is scheduled for July 13. The <br />public hearing date is set at first reading, but no presentations or public comments are <br />made. The second reading and the public hearing are scheduled for July 27. A separate <br />application for Final Subdivision Plat has also been submitted and is under staff review. The <br />Final Subdivision Plat will include the formal public land dedications and landscaping plans for <br />public right of way. The final public land dedications will be reviewed by OSAB and PPLAB, and <br />right of way landscaping reviewed by PPLAB as part of the review process before public hearings <br />before the Planning Commission and City Council. These hearings have not yet been <br />scheduled. <br />
