VII. 2020 Grant Recipient Update: Public Works Theatre Company, Coal <br />Creek was awarded an art grand in 2020, 3 locally written plays. Goal is <br />to get 2020 grant recipients, may push 2021 recipients to 2022. Kathleen <br />Rausch, Brian Dowling will discussed doing the performances the end of <br />the year, or can the council allow them to use the money for equipment <br />purchased in 2020 for virtual shows. Leah, money should be used for the <br />performance, Kim agrees. Brian, the shows will be performed regardless <br />of if the LCC decides the grant money can go the show or equipment. <br />Tami proposed the money go towards the performances, Kim agrees, all <br />members of the LCC present at the meeting agreed to use the money as <br />initially intended. <br />VII I. Public Art <br />a. Public Art Committee Update: Emily, Gregory Fields, panels around the <br />walkway will be finished in late June, waiting on more information for the <br />sculpture. Kim, do both at the same time if it wasn't too far apart. Kim will <br />reach out. Emily, Robert Romero sculpture is working on final installation <br />end of July. <br />b. McCaslin and South Street Underpass projects : Kim, art is installed <br />just needs grouting. Leah, will the city advertise, Kim, yes. <br />IX. Summer/Fall Programming updates <br />• Programming Subcommittee and Budget Update Silent Movies <br />(6/19) Leah, subcommittee meeting to discuss programming. Only <br />$119 spent so far, $10,690 for summer concerts, other events may <br />be ticketed to support more events. Tami, concerned about the <br />amount of money spent. Emily, money spent in 2019 was around <br />$10,000. Leah, we can no longer take donations, Tami, our budget <br />was cut this year as well. Mark, will need a reasonable discussion <br />in 2022 about the use of the budget. Leah, will discuss 2022 before <br />the next budget is approved in November. <br />• DBA collaboration: (Tami) The initial idea from the subcommittee <br />was to allow businesses to paint their own barriers, not to get artists <br />as that makes the project complicated and it is already almost July. <br />The DBA would like to coordinate and Tami suggested allocating an <br />amount of money, with the idea we can get material donations and <br />hand this project over to the DBA and support them if they need. <br />Tami motioned to allocate $300 to assist the DBA with this project. <br />Debbie approved $300 toward downtown, Kim seconded. <br />XI.
