Approval of Previous Meeting's Minutes
Peter moved to approve the previous meetings' minutes without change. Thomas
seconded the motion. The motion passed unanimously.
5. Public Comments on Items Not on the Agenda
There were no public members attending.
6. Staff Updates— Nathan Mosley
(See Staff Updates on page 8-11 of the August 2021 OSAB Meeting packet.)
A. There were no questions from the board about the Staff Updates in the
Packet.
B. Nathan announced that the City is going to keep holding board meetings
remotely at this time due to increasing Covid-19 infection rates. Nathan explained that
part of the thinking for this decision is to make sure public participation isn't being
impeded by people feeling unsafe about attending meetings in person. However, the
current plan is to have the OSAB van tour of properties happen in person in September
and October.
C. There is survey work being done for the 104t" Street Trail right now. Staff
are hoping to get a grant from Great Outdoors Colorado to help close that gap between
the original budget and the current cost estimate for the work (see the July's meeting
minutes for detail). The GOCO grant process has changed recently and Nathan outlined
the new process for the board. Staff are exploring two other grant funding options as
well. David asked whether any grant proposals would have all three landowners on it
(Louisville, Lafayette, and Boulder County). Nathan said that Louisville would be the
"lead agency," but any grant would be a joint submission between the three landowners.
He was optimistic about the grants and thought their funding schedule would be timely
for the project. Grant announcements will be made in early 2022. The goal is to have
City of Louisville
Parks & Recreation Department 749 Main Street Louisville CO 80027
303.335.4735 (phone) 303.335.4738 (fax) www.louisvilleco.gov
