City Council <br />Meeting Minutes <br />August 17, 2021 <br />Page 2 of 12 <br />RJ Harrington, 457 East Raintree Court, wanted to bring the Council's attention to the <br />recent International Panel on Climate Change Report #6. <br />APPROVAL OF THE CONSENT AGENDA <br />Mayor Stolzmann asked for changes to the consent agenda; hearing none she asked for <br />a motion. Motion: Councilmember Leh moved to approve the consent agenda, seconded <br />by Mayor Pro Tern Maloney. Vote: All in favor. <br />A. Approval of Bills <br />B. Approval of Minutes — July 20, 2021 <br />C. Award Contract for Project Specific Design and Construction Services <br />for the Cottonwood Park Playground Replacement Project <br />D. Approval of Two Councilmembers to Work on Annual Evaluations of <br />Appointed Officials <br />E. Approval of a 5:00 PM Start Time for the August 24 Special Meeting <br />F. Approval of a Proclamation Observing September 20-26, 2021 as <br />Louisville's Bike, Walk, and Wheel Week <br />COUNCIL INFORMATIONAL COMMENTS ON PERTINENT ITEMS NOT ON THE <br />AGENDA <br />None. <br />►L6M <br />CITY MANAGER'S REPORT <br />REGULAR BUSINESS <br />DISCUSSION/DIRECTION — MASKING IN INDOOR SPACES <br />City Manager Balser reported that Boulder County Public Health (BCPH) issued a new <br />public health order on August 9 requiring masks for everyone age 2 and older in indoor <br />school settings as well as for childcare facilities (regardless of licensing status) and indoor <br />youth sports/extracurricular activities intended for individuals under age 19. Currently, the <br />City continues to strongly encourage masks indoors for everyone age 2 and older in City <br />buildings, regardless of vaccination status. <br />In addition, Boulder County (including Louisville) falls under the State's Mask Order, <br />which requires masks in healthcare settings as well as prisons, jails and homeless <br />shelters through September 1. Businesses are still within their rights to ask patrons to <br />wear masks and BCPH made strong recommendations for businesses about requiring <br />masks. <br />
