Approval of a Proclamation Observing September 20-26, 2021 as <br />Louisville's Bike, Walk, and Wheel Week <br />COUNCIL INFORMATIONAL COMMENTS ON PERTINENT ITEMS NOT ON THE <br />AGENDA <br />None. <br />►L6M <br />CITY MANAGER'S REPORT <br />REGULAR BUSINESS <br />DISCUSSION/DIRECTION — MASKING IN INDOOR SPACES <br />City Manager Balser reported that Boulder County Public Health (BCPH) issued a new <br />public health order on August 9 requiring masks for everyone age 2 and older in indoor <br />school settings as well as for childcare facilities (regardless of licensing status) and indoor <br />youth sports/extracurricular activities intended for individuals under age 19. Currently, the <br />City continues to strongly encourage masks indoors for everyone age 2 and older in City <br />buildings, regardless of vaccination status. <br />In addition, Boulder County (including Louisville) falls under the State's Mask Order, <br />which requires masks in healthcare settings as well as prisons, jails and homeless <br />shelters through September 1. Businesses are still within their rights to ask patrons to <br />wear masks and BCPH made strong recommendations for businesses about requiring <br />masks. <br />
