LLAV of <br />Louisville <br />PARKS, RECREATION & OPEN SPACE <br />Open Space Advisory Board Meeting Minutes <br />Wednesday August 11, 2021, 7:00pm <br />Electronic Meeting <br />Call to Order <br />David called the meeting to order at 7:01 pm. <br />2. Roll Call <br />Board Members Present: David Blankinship, Tom Neville, Helen Moshak, Laura Scott <br />Denton, Peter Gowen <br />Board Members Absent: Charles Danforth, Jessamine Fitzpatrick, Annaliese Steel <br />Staff Members Present: Nathan Mosley <br />City Council Member Present: Deb Fahey <br />3. Approval of Agenda <br />Peter moved to approve the agenda as written. Thomas seconded the motion. The <br />motion passed unanimously. <br />4. Approval of Previous Meeting's Minutes <br />Peter moved to approve the previous meetings' minutes without change. Thomas <br />seconded the motion. The motion passed unanimously. <br />5. Public Comments on Items Not on the Agenda <br />There were no public members attending. <br />6. Staff Updates— Nathan Mosley <br />(See Staff Updates on page 8-11 of the August 2021 OSAB Meeting packet.) <br />A. There were no questions from the board about the Staff Updates in the <br />Packet. <br />B. Nathan announced that the City is going to keep holding board meetings <br />remotely at this time due to increasing Covid-19 infection rates. Nathan explained that <br />part of the thinking for this decision is to make sure public participation isn't being <br />impeded by people feeling unsafe about attending meetings in person. However, the <br />current plan is to have the OSAB van tour of properties happen in person in September <br />and October. <br />C. There is survey work being done for the 104t" Street Trail right now. Staff <br />are hoping to get a grant from Great Outdoors Colorado to help close that gap between <br />the original budget and the current cost estimate for the work (see the July's meeting <br />minutes for detail). The GOCO grant process has changed recently and Nathan outlined <br />the new process for the board. Staff are exploring two other grant funding options as <br />well. David asked whether any grant proposals would have all three landowners on it <br />(Louisville, Lafayette, and Boulder County).
